The Padovanità Association presents:
Padua, City of Water: The Hidden Bridges of the Santa Sofia Canal
Saturday, February 28, 2026 – Guided tour
Among Renaissance palaces and the riverside Padua of yesteryear, you’ll stroll along the Santa Sofia Canal, now completely filled in. The explanations of “river” architect Ciccio Graziani will lead you on the ancient traces of the canal bed, starting from Piazzale Boschetti and ending at the Giustinianeo Hospital. You’ll enter charming places and discover unusual glimpses of our city usually closed to the public or difficult to access.
A unique and unrepeatable opportunity: exclusively for our Association, we will have private properties opened to us, in search of the most hidden walls and bridges of Padua’s waterways. We will conclude our tour with the usual convivial aperitif.
Meeting point: 2:45 PM sharp at the Morgagni Bridge (Piazzale Boschetti area, Piovego side).
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
A contribution of €14 per participant is required (€12 for members); €6 for children up to 12 years old.
Reservations are required via WhatsApp at 371 6890812.
For those interested, there will be the option to sign up for the 2026 Padovanità membership card, which provides discounts and benefits for holders.
