Barco Teatro presents to its audience a very interesting young piano talent in a recital that replaces the scheduled one by Flavia Salemme for March 7th (we will see Flavia in the program of next season). Both of these young pianists have honed their skills at the Accademia Musicale di Pinerolo, with which Barco Teatro has begun a fruitful collaboration.
Lorenzo’s recital explores piano virtuosity expressed in both the contemplation of the Divine and wonder for Nature: a journey that delves into the “Seven Musical Moments,” inspired by the Pleiades, with the composer-astronomer from Estonia Urmas Sisak, continuing through snowstorms, fantastical creatures, solitary places of spiritual elevation, and traditional songs from Kazakhstan with Liszt, Tolykpaev, and Alkan.
