At night, the boundaries between reality and imagination, between memory and present, become less defined. Even inside a museum, objects change status: what by day is testimony, history, technique, in the dark acquires a more vivid and mysterious presence.
On Saturday, April 4, starting at 9 PM, the Museum of Precinema will host an event different from what it has accustomed its audience to: the performance of Systemet (Eugenio Paganelli) titled High Society: Music for Mountaintops, an experimental electronic music concert accompanied by video projections of mountain footage edited by the visual artist Gabriele Marchina.
Before the concert, participants will be able to take part in a guided tour of the collection. For the occasion, a showcase will be set up with slides for 19th-century Magic Lanterns, both painted and photographic, dedicated to the mountain: alpine views, glaciers, and the first human traces of landscape domestication.
