In 2026, the Venetian Archaeological Society (S.A.V.) OdV celebrates an extraordinary milestone:
fifty years of activity in the service of research, protection, and enhancement
of the archaeological heritage of the Veneto region.
To celebrate this anniversary, S.A.V. promotes a grand Celebratory Conference,
titled “Archaeology of the Veneto: Cultural Associations, Research, and Enhancement,” which
will take place from April 16 to 18, 2026 at the San Luca Hall of the Abbey of Santa Giustina, in
Padua.
The initiative aims to provide a space for discussion and reflection on the role of cultural associations
in the field of archaeology: from fieldwork to dissemination, from collaboration
with public entities and universities to new forms of civic engagement and active citizenship.
