La Torre dell’Orologio e Villa Querini

17 MAY - 18 OCT 2026
Other

Camposampiero is strongly linked to its medieval past and the Clock Tower, dating back to the 12th century, represents one of the most significant testimonies of that period. Built entirely of bricks, it retains architectural elements that tell the story of the various construction phases over time. The Tower is situated in a highly evocative urban context: from its height of 25 meters, it has monitored for centuries the access gate to the walled city as well as the surrounding waters and the valuable historical buildings. The top of the tower is currently not accessible, but the guided tour will reconstruct its history and function.
The narrative will continue through a visit to Villa Querini, an example of the vibrant Renaissance in the area, a symbol of Venetian dominion in the Mainland, and home to the Tourist Office of Camposampiero.
