This is probably the oldest church in Padua, built on pagan pre-existences from the 3rd and 4th centuries, and represents one of the most important testimonies of Romanesque architecture in Veneto.
After visiting and exploring the three internal naves, which hosted, among other things, one of the first works of Mantegna, we will exclusively descend to the underlying floor to visit the crypt that reveals the archaic foundation of the church of Santa Sofia, linked to the Mithraic cult.
A single tour is scheduled at 3.00 p.m., lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
A contribution of € 15 per participant is required (€ 13 for members), and € 6 for children up to 12 years old
