Padova Urbs Organi – Armonie di Primavera

MAY 16, 2026
Other

On Saturday, May 16 at 5.00 p.m., at the Church of S. Maria del Carmine in Padua, which houses the precious organ built by De Lorenzi himself in 1857 and recently restored, Padova Urbs Organi presents a concert for male choir, brass, and organ featuring students from the “A. Pedrollo” Conservatory of Vicenza, conducted by Enrico Zanovello, a renowned organist, harpsichordist, and conductor known for his extensive international concert activity (over 1000 concerts) and his promotion of the Baroque repertoire. The program will also include some compositions by De Lorenzi himself.

The concert will be preceded by a brief and fascinating story dedicated to the life of the organ builder, curated by Dr. Giuseppe Patuelli, and by the presentation of a particular painting — the only existing portrait of G.B. De Lorenzi — belonging to a private collector, who will illustrate his artistic profile.

Music by G.B. De Lorenzi, F. Canneti and G. Dalla Vecchia.

The Padova Urbs Organi series is realized with the Patronage of the Municipality of Padua, the contribution of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Padua, and in collaboration with Asolo Musica as part of the Cantantibus Organis project, Regional Organ Circuit.
