Saturday, June 6, last Tartinian Exploration before the summer break.
Cultural walks in Padua tracing the cultural legacy of Giuseppe Tartini, organized by the Friends of Music of Padua, in collaboration with the Guides of the Tartini2020 Association will then resume in September, taking place every Saturday of the month and concluding on October 3.
The Exploration on Saturday, June 6, will begin at 4:45 p.m. in front of the Church of San Gaetano, at Via Altinate 73, and will focus specifically on this scenic building, not only a beautiful example of baroque Mannerist church, but also a treasure trove of numerous works of art.
The Exploration will end at the place where Tartini is buried, the Church of Santa Caterina, at Via Cesare Battisti, at 5:30 p.m., with a concert by the violinist Maria Ines Zanovello. Two of Tartini’s virtuosic sonatas composed in the later part of his life will be performed. The concert will be introduced by musicologist Angela Forin.
