We will have the opportunity to admire our city from an unusual and evocative perspective, a privileged view from one of the canals that in the past represented the main access for those coming from the Venetian area: the ancient walls, monuments, bastions, and historic buildings of Padua will thus take on new and particular characteristics.
Starting from the Porta Contarine, we will pass by the magnificent Porta Portello, we will walk along the Renaissance Walls (the work of the ingenuity of Bartolomeo D’Alviano), we will cross the ancient Graissi bridge, until we reach, before turning back, the splendid seventeenth-century Villa Giovanelli in Noventa Padovana, a jewel of our territory.
Everything will be accompanied by a pleasant aperitif served on board during the navigation, interspersed with historical and cultural anecdotes about the history of Padua and the river navigation of Padua.
Meeting time is at 4:20 p.m. at Porta Contarine, with a navigation duration of over 2 hours and 15 minutes.
A contribution of € 20 is requested (for members € 18), for children only € 10, which includes over 2 hours and 15 minutes of navigation and a small aperitif on board.
