One of the most intense voices in the Italian music scene is the star of a unique event evening featuring rhythms and sounds of the Mediterranean.
Elena Ledda – one of the most important figures in the traditional Sardinian and Mediterranean scene, a dramatic soprano with an extraordinary voice – takes the stage at Castello Festival with an orchestral ensemble that will include the Sardinian multi-instrumentalist Mauro Palmas, saxophonist Maurizio Camardi, and the strings of the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto conducted by Antonio Aiello.
A refined meeting of Mediterranean traditional music, classical melodies, jazz, and singer-songwriter music in the evocative setting of Piazza Eremitani.
In over thirty years of music, Elena Ledda has brought her unique repertoire to audiences worldwide (from the smallest towns in Sardinia to New York, Sydney, Tripoli, Rio de Janeiro, etc.), which enlivens the memory of traditional singing with a spicy popular music open to the shores of the Mediterranean.
An artistic project that engages with the most genuine and profound feelings, where the voice of Elena Ledda, the mandolins of Mauro Palmas, the winds of Maurizio Camardi, and the strings of the OPV transport us into sound worlds and emotions that transcend the perception of time.
