We will have the opportunity to admire our city from an unusual and suggestive perspective, a privileged view from one of the canals that in the past represented the main access for those coming from the Venetian area: the ancient walls, monuments, bastions, and historic buildings of Padua will thus take on new and unique characteristics.
Starting from the Contarine Gates, we will pass by the magnificent Porta Portello, we will hug the Renaissance walls (the work of Bartolomeo D’Alviano), we will cross the ancient Graissi bridge, until we reach, before turning back, the splendid 17th-century Villa Giovanelli in Noventa Padovana, a gem of our territory.
The experience will be enhanced by a pleasant aperitif served on board during the navigation, interspersed with historical and cultural anecdotes about the history of Padua and Padua’s river navigation.
Meeting time is 4:20 p.m. at the Contarine Gates, with a navigation duration of over 2 hours and 30 minutes.
A contribution of € 20 is required (€ 18 for members), and only € 10 for children, which includes more than 2 hours of navigation and a light aperitif on board.
