The 2026 edition of the Padova Jazz Festival continues to follow the trend of Latin jazz inaugurated in the previous year. It does so with prominent names from the epicenter of Caribbean jazz: Havana. The first Cuban artist to perform at the festival is the violinist and singer Yilian Cañizares, who will play on Friday, October 23 at 9:00 p.m. in the Sala dei Giganti at Liviano in a trio with Childo Tomas (electric bass) and Inor Sotolongo (percussions). On the same day, at 6:00 p.m. in the Sala Bianca of Caffè Pedrocchi, the author Nicola Gaeta, along with music journalist Michele Bugliari, will present his book Black Beauty. Storie di musica nera (LOW Publishing, 2026). Admission to the book presentation is free.
The Padova Jazz Festival is organized by the Cultural Association Miles, presided over by Gabriella Piccolo Casiraghi, in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Padova and the Department of Culture of the Veneto Region, with the contribution of Bosco Costruzioni and Volksbank, and with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
