The autumn exhibition Padova Urbs Organi will conclude on Saturday, October 24, at 8:45 p.m., in the basilica of Santa Giustina, with the concert “Journey Through Time,” featuring the male choir “Il Sestiere,” an interesting choral reality from Lombardy directed by Alessandro Giulini. Organist, pianist, and choir director, Giulini will guide the audience on a musical journey through epochs and centuries, enhancing the warm and evocative timbre of male voices and the extraordinary sounds of the large historic organ of the basilica.
The program will propose music by composers such as J. Arcadelt, A. Vivaldi, F. Liszt, and L. Perosi, alongside other composers, in a route that intertwines diverse styles, languages, and epochs. A true journey through time, capable of engaging the richness of musical tradition with the expressive intensity of choral voice.
The conclusion of the October exhibition at the Abbey of S. Giustina represents our farewell and a see you again for the next concert season in March 2027 at the church of S. Antonio Abate, where exciting surprises, not only musical, are expected.
