From Saturday, October 4, to Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Padova International Dance Festival returns. Under the artistic direction of Gabriella Furlan Malvezzi, this year marks the 22nd edition, which promises to be as rich in new developments as ever.
The important cultural value for the city of Padua and the province is confirmed by the program of high artistic content and strong international appeal, involving world premieres, national premieres, regional premieres, workshops, and talks with more than one hundred artists, including big stars, established companies, and talented young dancers from all over the world.
With a focus on innovation, the Festival presents choreographies from the classical repertoire, modern and contemporary dance, and connections with music, theater, and visual art for shows of great visual and emotional impact that will be hosted in the historic Teatro Verdi, the Teatro ai Colli, the Teatro Quirino De Giorgio in Vigonza, the Centro Culturale Altinate / San Gaetano Cultural Center, the Oratories of San Michele and San Giorgio, the Beato Pellegrino University Complex, city squares, and spontaneous gathering places that will become showcases for urban incursions, with dance, experimentation, and live music.
Side events include talks with the public led by prominent dance critics and contemporary dance workshops held by some of the choreographers featured in the Festival program.
