The four saxophonists of the SIGNUM Saxophone Quartet together with soprano Sarah Maria Sun will be the guests of the concert on Wednesday, February 25th, at 8:15 PM , at the Auditorium Pollini , as part of the 69th Concert Season of the Friends of Music of Padua. A concert that promises a vivid intertwining of sounds and emotions : a mix of drama, nostalgia, and energy, exploring the first half of the 20th century with its transformations and contradictions. In what can be defined as a journey from shadow to light, music by Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and other composers such as Schulhoff, Copland, Weill, Berlin, Bernstein, and Cope will be performed, composers who, starting from their cultural heritage, created a bridge between Europe and America.
The SIGNUM Saxophone Quartet blends various musical genres, from original compositions for saxophone quartet to arrangements of orchestral music, from Baroque repertoire to rock music. It is known for the virtuosity of its members, animated by curiosity for musical experiences beyond all borders, and for its perfect ensemble sound.
Open rehearsal at 10:30 AM, Auditorium Pollini.
