Monday, November 17 at 8:15 PM at the Auditorium Pollini in Padua, a new appointment with the concerts of the 69th concert season of the Friends of Music of Padua featuring the TRIO CONCEPT.
The Trio Concept was formed in 2013 from the meeting of three young musicians from Turin: Edoardo Grieco (violin), Francesco Massimino (cello), and Lorenzo Nguyen (piano). The Trio Concept has been named ECHO Rising Star for the 2025/2026 season and has received the Prix Yves Paternot “for its extraordinary talent and artistic value.”
The Trio is also committed to discovering and promoting new repertoire, commissioning new works to bring present and past music to the audience. For the concert program in Padua, the Trio has chosen to combine three composers who, despite composing in different eras, resort to similar musical forms to tell the ways we communicate with each other: from the free and instinctive expression of feeling in Shostakovich’s Trio to the refined Viennese elegance of Schubert’s music, to the tragic narrative present in Weinberg’s trio.
The concert has been organized in collaboration with CIDIM ETS.
Open rehearsal at 10:30 AM.
