Returning from December 5 to 8, 2025, the 800 PADOVA FESTIVAL is the event conceived and organized by SUGARPULP with the support of the Culture Department of the Municipality of Padua, the Cariparo Foundation, and under the patronage of the Veneto Region.
This year, the 800 Padova Festival offers the public a mix of literary events, guided tours, scientific meetings, discussions on fashion, 19th-century art, with diversions into the world of comics and true crime (still from the 19th century, of course!).
For this year’s edition, the festival dedicates its program to the Rebel Hearts, protagonists of the 19th century and authors who, in different eras, have been able to interpret and tell the value of rebellion.
An important part of the program of the 800 Padova Festival consists of guided tours to discover 19th-century Padua (curated by Padova Gotica) and the Masonic Pedrocchi (curated by Paola Principato). Two unusual itineraries to discover a city different from that on postcards, fascinating and mysterious.
There is also space for comics with the meeting dedicated to LA MANDIGUERRE. A STEAMPUNK SPACE OPERA, the graphic novel masterpiece by Morvan and Tamiazzo recently published in an unabridged edition.
The event dedicated to 19th-century fashion with Elena Torri and Grimilde Malatesta will take place on Monday, December 8, at 4:00 PM, at Caffè Pedrocchi: Legends and truths between crinolines and corsets.
The festival will officially kick off with the 19th-century aperitif on Friday, December 5, at Osteria La Madonnetta in Padua, featuring an entertaining lesson by Nicolò Calore on Ugo Foscolo, a central figure of 19th-century Italian and European literature.
