The last concert of the Scatola Sonora 2025 season closes with a brilliant program that also aims to be a wish from Barco Teatro and its artists to the audience: the transcriptions for four-hand piano of the most beautiful Suites from Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, The Carnival of the Animals, along with a collection of dances originally written for the ensemble, will fill the hall with a festive and Christmassy atmosphere, dedicated to both adults and children, to conclude 2025 with serenity and positivity. With this intent, the piece “The Carnival of the Animals” will be commented on by drawings created live by Alberto Marescotti and projected onto the backdrop of the stage.
The piano duo composed of Eliana Grasso and Irene Veneziano was formed in 2010 during the performance of some Concertos for piano and orchestra for the Turin festival “The Flowers of Music.” Given the undeniable chemistry and harmony between the two pianists, an intense concert activity began in prestigious seasons such as “The Concerts of the Quirinale,” “Polincontri,” “Orbetello Piano Festival,” “Milano Classica,” “Ibsenhutset” (Norway), “Society of Concerts of Milan,” “Festival Trame Sonore Mantova,” and others.
