Prato della Valle is dressed in magic with the ice skating rink, set up on the side facing the Basilica of Santa Giustina.
The Christmas on ice in Padua is accompanied by Christmas background music and entertainment.
A heated indoor skate exchange is provided, with the possibility to rent or purchase helmets and gloves, coat check service, assisted skating, and paid skating instructors for individual and group lessons.
You can access with your own skates.
For people with disabilities, a special patented platform is available at no charge.
Hours
The ice skating rink is open:
- from Monday to Friday, from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM;
- Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 PM.
Only on New Year’s Eve, the rink remains open until 1:00 AM on 01/01/2025.
Costs
Entry to the rink is free; rental of skates and various equipment is chargeable – daily cost 10 euros.
For university students, from Monday to Friday, the rental of skating equipment is set at 5 euros instead of 10 euros, upon presentation of a badge.
For primary and secondary school students, the ticket is 5 euros instead of 10 euros, only if organized as a school group and with prior reservation via email to natalesulghiacciopadova@gmail.com. In this case, assistance from a skating teacher is also available, again with prior reservation via email.
WARNING: for management and safety reasons, promotions for schools and for those using their own skates are suspended on days of peak attendance – see table.
