The Last Tycoon circle organizes “Cultmovies – playlist n° 1“, a film review with screenings spanning Noir, new Hollywood, and Free cinema, presented in the original language.
Identifying a cult movie is not easy. The term can be linked to unanimous critical judgment, a generational perspective, or a very personal aesthetic-emotional involvement. Thus, this first playlist draws from our tastes, our passions. Certainly, essential authors and tributes to westerns, musicals, and the nouvelle vague are missing, but this is a first step to rediscover titles that we may have forgotten in the drawer of our cinephilia, to watch them again and discuss them together.
