The Padovanità Association presents:
Discovering the Carrarese Padua: From the Casa della Rampa to the Traghetto
Saturday, January 10, 2026, 3:30 PM – Padua
Padovanità, in collaboration with the Enetiké Cultural Association, is organizing a guided tour to relive the ancient glories of the Carraresi family, Lords of Padua in the late Middle Ages. The tour begins at the Casa della Rampa, located at the intersection of Via Accademia and Via Arco Vallaresso, which preserves clearly visible traces of the majestic residence of the Lords of Padua, built starting in 1343 at the behest of Ubertino da Carrara. You’ll visit the 14th-century courtyard and board the traghetto, a structure that was part of a long viaduct that connected the Palazzo di Ponente with the Carrarese Castle. You’ll then follow the route of the 14th-century walls and their integration into the subsequent aristocratic context of the area, amidst medieval palaces and Renaissance porticoes.
The tour lasts approximately 2 hours.
A single tour is scheduled at 3:30 PM.
Contribution: €14 for adults (€12 for members).
