Many people feel attraction to some animals and repulsion for others. When it comes to insects and arthropods, these reactions become even more extreme: some love them, while others despise them. But how does this mechanism work on a cognitive level?
Why can an animal fascinate us or horrify us? Come and discover it on December 19 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Esapolis Museum with the event “Beauty & Cognition A Journey into the Mind of Insects“, part of the AppassionataMente series in collaboration with the Department of Psychology at the University of Padua. The event is organized by Artropocene Festival (@artropocene) and promoted by Kheprica APS and the Research Center on Perception and Art (CARPE).
An afternoon of educational talks between art, nature, and psychology, followed by a guided tour of the “jewel insects” room.
Free entry until capacity is reached. More info and reservations on EventBrite: https://www.eventbrite.it/e/bellezza-cognizione-un-viaggio-nella-mente-degli-insetti-tickets-1977020971947?aff=oddtdtcreator
