Returning once again in the 69th concert season of the Amici della Musica di Padova is the pianist DÉNES VÁRJON, this time alongside the violinist VERONIKA EBERLE, for the concert on Wednesday April 1, at 8:15 PM at the Auditorium Pollini in Padova.
This extraordinary duo of musicians presents a program of strong contrasts, pairing Béla Bartók with the two Rhapsodies for violin and piano, inspired by Hungarian folk melodies, and Ludwig van Beethoven with the Sonata op. 47 “A Kreutzer,” a work that combines a traditional formal structure with new and powerful expressive ambitions. The concert concludes with the famous Sonata for violin and piano by César Franck, a wedding gift from the composer to the violinist Eugène Ysaye.
Open rehearsal at 10:30 AM, Auditorium Pollini.
