The Padovanità Association presents:
Visit to the Garden City: from San Leopoldo to Palazzo Esedra – Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 3:30 PM – Padua
A unique tour, combining spirituality and architecture in a single experience, which will lead you to discover a neighborhood considered an oasis of peace just steps from the city center. The first stop will be hosted by the Capuchin Friars of the Sanctuary of San Leopoldo, who will recount the history of the religious complex and the saint who gives it its name, in a unique and indescribable spiritual context.
We’ll then delve deeper into the neighborhood’s architecture, transformed from the 1920s onwards into a unique residential gem. Among villas, elegant buildings, splendid gardens, and tree-lined avenues, we’ll appreciate wonderful examples of rationalist, art nouveau, and religious architecture: from Palazzo Esedra to the Casa della Giovane Italia, from the ancient Church of the Virgins of Vanzo to the more contemporary Church of Sant’Alberto Magno, with sculptures by Paduan Amleto Sartori.
A single visit is planned at 3.30 pm and will last (approximately) 2 hours
A contribution of €14 per participant is required (€12 for members), and €6 for children up to 12 years of age, including a guided tour and insights lasting approximately 2 hours, and entrance to the Sanctuary and the Church of Sant’ Alberto Magno.
