At the Pedrocchi Café in Padua, in the evocative Rossini Hall, the audience will be able to watch again the ten films from the legendary Lumière evening, which continue to enchant with the poetry of the images, the naturalness of the scenes, and the wonder of being able to see them once more, after so much time since their creation.
The meeting on December 28 will indeed be the occasion to officially present the new Friends of Museums Association of Padua, created with the aim of promoting knowledge, protection, and dissemination of cultural heritage, by creating synergies between institutions, scholars, and citizens. The association, supported in its foundation by the Museum of Precinema, aims to become a reference point for active participation in the cultural life of the city and the territory.
During the event, the important project “PRECINEMA UNDER THE LENS: photographic documentation and communication of the Minici Zotti Collection” will also be presented, which has engaged the Museum of Precinema in recent months, aimed at producing high-definition photographs of the Minici Zotti Collection.
As is tradition, the conclusion of this Christmas meeting will be dedicated to the Magic Lantern, featuring one of the most beloved stories from the nineteenth-century repertoire: “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. With the projection of images taken from the original glass plates and the narration by actor Paolo Caporello, the story will bring to life the intimate and enchanted atmosphere of Christmas for the audience.
Participation in the event is free, with mandatory reservation (email: info@minicizotti.it / phone 049.8763838)
