The program for the 2025 Lyric Season of the Municipality of Padua concludes with the traditional New Year’s Concert, one of the most anticipated and heartfelt events in the city, which will take place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, for the first time in two performances at 5 PM and 9 PM.
The program will include arias by Donizetti, Verdi, Gounod, Offenbach, Strauss, and Tchaikovsky, performed by soprano Julia Muzychenko and tenor Paolo Fanale. The two voices will be accompanied by the Orchestra of Padua and Veneto, which will be conducted on this occasion by Matteo Dal Maso.
Already an assistant with the BBC Philharmonic and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Dal Maso has distinguished himself in various International Conducting Competitions, including the 5th International Competition in Athens, the 3rd Competition of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège (Belgium), the “Ionel Perlea” Competition (Romania), and the International Conducting Competition “Peter Maag” (Italy).
