The Circolo della Lirica di Padova returns to celebrate the holidays with its traditional Winter Serenade Concert. For years, this event has accompanied lovers of bel canto in the heart of the Christmas holidays, offering both emotion and tradition. In the splendid setting of Palazzo Zacco Armeni, the magic of opera music will meet the warm and evocative atmosphere of Christmas, concluding the first part of the program of the 43rd Musical Season of the Circolo della Lirica di Padova.
A journey through emotion and beauty with the voices of the young artists of the Opera Studio International Cast, who will bring to life a mosaic of arias and duets from the most beloved works of the celebrated composers who shaped the history of opera between the 19th and 20th centuries: from Mozart and Donizetti to Offenbach, Bizet, Leoncavallo, and Verdi.
At a time of year when the city is adorned with festive lights and a festive atmosphere, the Circolo della Lirica invites the audience to experience an afternoon of art and harmony, where music becomes a universal language of greeting and hope.
The evening’s protagonists will be sopranos Iris Hyemin Kwon, Hiyane Kasumi, and Yanni Liu, and bass-baritone Yuerui Cheng. These young performers hail from around the world and will bring to the stage, with passion and talent, the freshness of the new generations and the depth of the great lyrical traditions. Maestro Cristiano Zanellato will accompany them on the piano, while Luca Fanasca’s narration will guide the audience on a journey that intertwines music and drama, making each piece a vibrant and engaging experience. An afternoon of art and harmony, where music becomes a universal language of good wishes and hope.
