OPSA in Prato – third edition 2026
Grand finale with the inclusive music festival “Other Sounds”
Sunday, September 20 at 6.00 p.m. – Prato della Valle – Padua
The grand finale of OPSA in Prato is entrusted to music, on Sunday at 6, with the first edition of the festival “Other Sounds”, an initiative shared with This Ability Veneto, which will feature five musical groups that include people with disabilities. “Other Sounds” will therefore close both OPSA in Prato and This Ability Veneto in the sign of inclusion and also in memory of Claudia Frizzarin, the dynamic diversity manager who passed away suddenly in January.
The appointment is at Prato della Valle from 6: on stage, five musical groups that include people with disabilities will alternate, namely from Padua the Andamento Lento Band, the Ostinati, the duo Dario Toso and Fabio Palmitesta from Sonora Lab; then I Musicanti from Ferrara and the duo Pancake Drawer from Rome. Before the music, the Talents Lab will unveil one of its colorful Lego ramps, created in honor of Claudia, who was the founder of This Ability Veneto three years ago, involving the Opera della Provvidenza S. Antonio.
Conceived and curated by Andrea Pomarolli, music therapist of the Disability Area of OPSA, “Other Sounds” was born with the aim of demonstrating how every person, even those living with a disability, can be a protagonist of the artistic and cultural life of their city, expressing their talent, meeting the public, and contributing their uniqueness to the community’s life. The festival is therefore born with the ambition to contribute, through music experienced together, to the construction of a more inclusive, fair, and just society, in which diversities, fragilities, and different abilities are not seen as a limit, but as a resource and value for all.
