The Padova Jazz Festival 2025 is an event that tells many stories: those of black music brought to the highest levels of fusion virtuosity (Stanley Clarke), of tradition renewed (Cécile McLorin Salvant), of social commitment translated into sonic futurism (Camilla George); those of Cuban music, with the best exponents of its piano school (Roberto Fonseca and Alfredo Rodriguez); those of Italian jazz, in a kaleidoscope of stylistic idioms and international blends (Roberto Gatto, Max Ionata, Matteo Paggi…); those of the most creative US scene (Uri Caine).
Now in its 27th edition, it will take place from 6 to 23 November 2025 and will bring big names in international and Italian jazz to the stage. The concerts will be held in historic venues around the city, including the Teatro Verdi, Caffè Pedrocchi and the University of Padua.
On Wednesday 22 October at Caffè Pedrocchi (with dinner at 8 p.m. and concert at 9.30 p.m.), the Soul Jazz Septet, co-directed by saxophonist Vincent Herring and drummer Joris Dudli, will perform.
On Saturday 25 October, from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm, the Magicaboola Brass Band will be performing music to listen to, watch and, above all, dance to in the historic centre of Padua.
