Lent Concerts
The “Padova Urbs Organi APS” cultural association announces the new edition of the Lenten series, which for 2026 will feature seven events from Saturday, March 7th to Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate at Via Savonarola 176 and at the Basilica of Santa Giustina. Admission is free and the concerts begin at 5:00 PM.
The Padova Urbs Organi festival is organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Padua, with the support of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Padua, and in collaboration with Asolo Musica as part of the Cantantibus Organis project, Regional Organ Circuit.
Viviana Romoli, artistic director of the Padua festival, introduces the new Lenten edition: “It will be an exciting opportunity to listen to extraordinary performers and tailor-made musical programs, perfectly conceived, designed, and produced to highlight the excellent sonic characteristics of the Zanin organ in the church of Sant’Antonio Abate al Collegio Mazza, where the five concerts will be held. Thanks to the fruitful collaboration with the Friends of Music, two concerts will be included in the REMA – Early Music Day program, marking the European Day of Early Music. Furthermore, the festival is enriched with the novelty of two Organ Vespers at Santa Giustina, to promote the restoration project of the basilica’s great organ.”
The festival thus confirms its mission: to combine artistic quality, instrumental enhancement, and collaboration between Paduan cultural institutions, offering the public moments of listening and reflection during the season of Lent.
