The Padovanità Association presents:
Padova Urbs Picta: Guariento and the Carrarese Palace
Sunday, March 15, 2026 – 10:30 am and 11:30 am
Given the enormous interest, the tours of the UNESCO sites of Padova Urbs Picta continue, with a visit to the Carrarese Palace, a splendid example of 14th-century architecture and painting. The double loggia of the Accademia and the adjacent rooms, completed in 1343, were the residence of the Princes.
The slender and elegant columns of rose-colored Veronese marble, embellished with wooden architraves, welcome visitors to what was once a place of prayer and meditation. The external loggia was then closed and converted into a chapel, which Guariento frescoed between 1355 and 1360 with scenes from the Old Testament.
There are two separate tour times: – 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Tour duration (approximate) 1 hour
A contribution of €8 per participant is required (€6 for members), and €4 for children under 12.
