The 2025 edition of the Padua Opera Season, after its inauguration on July 31 with the symphonic opera concert “From Ravel to Morricone”, which saw the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto conducted by Francesco Rosa perform in Piazza Eremitani with soprano Bianca Tognocchi and tenor Bogdan Mihai, continues with three important performances at the Teatro Verdi. On the calendar for November 16 is “Così fan tutte”, and on December 28, 29, and 31, “Carmen”.
The last event of the 2025 Padua Opera Season is the traditional New Year’s Concert on January 1, with which the city of Padua welcomes the arrival of the new year, with the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, conducted by the young but already established maestro Matteo Dal Maso, and with the participation of the internationally renowned tenor Paolo Fanale and soprano Julia Muzychenko. The program includes famous opera and operetta arias from the classical repertoire, as well as the inevitable and traditional Strauss waltzes in an evocative, festive, and auspicious atmosphere.
