The Padovanità Association presents:

Palazzo Bo: From the Anatomical Theatre to Galileo’s Chair Sunday,

January 11, 2026, 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM – Padua

Padovanità offers this fascinating visit to Palazzo del Bo, one of Padua’s largest and most important building complexes, to commemorate the more than 800 years of glorious history of our beloved university. It has been the seat of the university since the late 15th century. The palace is composed of two buildings. The first is arranged around the so-called Cortile Antico, construction of which began in 1547. In medieval times, it was occupied by the Hospitium Bovis, an inn located in the area of the butchers’ shops. Given its origins, Palazzo del Bo has retained the ancient name for this space in its name.

The tour, with a fully-guided tour guide, will begin at the ticket office in the Cortile Nuovo and continue inside the Palazzo del Bo, passing by the anatomical theater and Galileo Galilei’s chair, admiring the 16th-century and 20th-century sections (Bo Grande).

There are two guided tours: – first at 2:00 PM – second at 4:00 PM

Tour duration (approximate) 1 hour and 20 minutes

Contribution: €15 (€13 for members), €10 for children under 12.

Advance reservations are required; please send a WhatsApp message to +39 371 6890812.
