PALAZZO LIVIANO TELLS ITS STORY
Saturday, November 22 – Padua
For the first time, an animated® tour of Gio Ponti’s masterpiece and its museum.
On Saturday, November 22nd, the Museum of Archaeological Sciences and Art and Palazzo Liviano will host the first animated costumed tour to discover the many stories of men, women, and goddesses housed in the prestigious complex designed by Gio Ponti in the 1930s. The complex also encompasses the 16th-century Hall of the Giants, creating a true architectural gem on the main floor to house and exhibit the University of Padua’s rich archaeological heritage.
Organized by the University Museum Center and the University Public Engagement Office in collaboration with teatrOrtaet, a cultural association specializing in animated tours of important cultural sites such as Castel Sant’Angelo, Villa Pisani, and the Scrovegni Chapel, the program invites the general public to immerse themselves in the history of the city of Padua and its university, which have always engaged in a fruitful dialogue, rich in some very curious aspects.
