Gynecology department. A woman is having contractions and is about to give birth. The situation is frantic: an obstetrician tries to calm her down, but above all, he tries to calm down the man accompanying her: her husband? No. Her brother? No. Her partner? Not quite. Let’s say a special friend to whom the woman has hidden her pregnancy! Sometimes love is closer than we think… With this comedy, Pignotta takes an important step that crosses the threshold of exploring the soul, the drives, fears, hopes, and desires of a generation that wants to find its balance in the chaos of a life that has lost certain points of reference. Contractions, as told by Pignotta, aptly reflect the comparison with those inner struggles that not only the generation of forty-somethings faces in daily life. A comedy that makes us laugh a lot, moves us deeply, but also makes us reflect on our limits, burdens, and fragilities, inviting us to face life with greater effort…
