The Padovanità Association presents:
Evening walk: the Riviere and the hidden Naviglio
Friday, July 31, 2026 – Padua
Padua has been and currently is a city of waters. It will be a moonlit walk aimed at following the inner Naviglio, mostly now buried after the interventions made between 1955 and 1960, which weaves semi-hidden between the medieval walls and the most varied palaces of our beloved Padua.
Listening to the detailed arguments of the guide, we will follow the ancient traces of the canalization, starting from the Contarine Gates and reaching the Torricelle Bridge, thus having the opportunity to admire enchanting and unusual glimpses of a Padua from other times.
It will be a unique and unrepeatable opportunity to make an important journey through time: to walk along the Riviere Tito Livio, Roman Bridges, Beldomandi (now Largo Europa) and to measure ourselves against the main chapters of Padua’s 3143 years of history: from its legendary foundation in 1118 B.C. to the present.
Meeting at 8:10 p.m. sharp at the Contarine Gates
Duration of the visit (indicative) 2 hours, comfortable footwear is recommended
A contribution of € 12 per participant is required (€ 10 for members); for children up to 12 years € 6.
Reservations are necessary via WhatsApp at 3716890812
