The Milanese artist Donatella Izzo revisits and renews one of the most coherent and radical explorations of the theme of the face and female identity in contemporary art, with a solo exhibition curated by Fabio Cosentino, at the Padua gallery.
The exhibition at Black Light Gallery marks an important milestone: not only a celebration of a decade of research, but a moment of synthesis and revitalization of a project that questions the very concept of photographic portraiture.
The exhibition is also an opportunity for the artist to present to the public the new project “PostEden” in which Izzo’s photographs conceive and outline the work as a territory of reconciliation where NATURE “wins” but does not eliminate man, rather incorporating the fruit of the artifice that man has created. The project sits on the threshold of a transformed world, where the purity of Nature has changed to make way for a new, complex form of existence.
