Perhaps, in these times, living in the here and now is not synonymous with happiness but with selfishness, with a lack of projection towards a sustainable future. Perhaps living only in the moment means not reflecting on the consequences. Above all, being trapped in the present, unable to see beyond, has one effect: not learning from one’s mistakes. Like these creatures, we can only live in the present, but today’s actions resonate with what tomorrow will be. All of them, from the smallest to the largest.
