From 5 to 12 October, the Veneto Suoni e Sapori association is hosting the 7th edition of the ‘Salone dei Sapori’ event, the first food festival created in the heart of Padua to celebrate the 800th anniversary of Europe’s oldest covered market.
The event aims to promote the culture of food, the excellence and food and wine of the area, from wine consortia to craft breweries, from historic shops to young food and beverage entrepreneurs, as well as to spread good eating habits. Tastings, public events, free talks, guided tours and much more to rediscover the gastronomic excellence of the area with many special guests.
A multidisciplinary event where the theme of taste is addressed from all angles with a programme divided into two macro areas: knowledge and flavours. The narrative part includes a programme of food education, scientific research, entertainment and experiences for the public with the aim of promoting food culture, local excellence and spreading good eating habits by creating consumer awareness. The experiential part offers an itinerary that takes place in the squares and inside the lower hall, where visitors can taste and discover the best products and excellence of the territory, accompanied by entertainment and music.
The venue for the event is the Palazzo della Ragione and the surrounding squares.
