The Train Day is the bi-monthly event (one edition in November, one in January, and one in March) organized by the Società Veneta Ferrovie aps in collaboration with the Veneto Toy Museum and the OIC foundation onlus.
Sunday, November 16 from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM is the perfect opportunity for enthusiasts of all ages to get closer to the world of trains and railway modeling, allowing visitors to explore the large collection of locomotives, passenger cars, and freight cars in various scales (1, 0, H0, and N) and see the three large layouts on permanent display in the galleries of the Veneto Toy Museum (one with 1910 models operating on alternating current with three tracks, one with 1980s analog direct current, and one with digital operation, the new trend in independent control of multiple trains on the same track).
A special guest for this edition will be the large Marklin layout from the 1950s, currently undergoing advanced restoration (viewable only in small groups).
The event is particularly suitable for families, including those with small children. By reservation, it will be possible to drive different types of trains and receive a special engineer’s diploma.
All activities can already be booked using the specific link to the Eventbrite platform.
Entrance is free (but a small donation for the Museum’s activities is always appreciated).
