On Saturday, October 18, the wonderful voice of Valentina Fin, accompanied by the “Cohors” ensemble (Marcello Abate, guitar – Manuel Caliumi, alto sax – Camilla Monga, choreography), will take us on a journey through the music of Renaissance courts with a vision that goes beyond simple transcription.
“Cohors”, a project commissioned by the Cultural Association 4’33” for the Palazzo Te Foundation in Mantua, enhances the practice of improvisation in a virtuous dialogue between jazz, which makes it one of its foundational values, and the musical tradition of European Baroque court music of the Renaissance. The concert is introduced by Carlo Emilio Tortarolo.
