The Lyric Circle of Padua kicks off 2026 with an event that intertwines cinema and music, history and myth. The legendary figure of Greta Garbo, an icon of world cinema, will be the protagonist of the musical afternoon, presented through a narrative of words and music.

During the narration by Athos Tromboni, journalist and music critic, there will be moments of live music with the young Chinese tenor Ling Nie, accompanied at the piano by Alberto Boischio, who will perform famous melodies related to cinema and the tenor tradition.

The musical program will evoke the great love songs made immortal by interpreters such as Tito Schipa, Beniamino Gigli, Mario Lanza, Ferruccio Tagliavini, Mario Del Monaco, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Luciano Pavarotti, giving the audience back the magic of an era when cinema and music merged into a collective dream.

This will be an opportunity to relive the atmospheres of Cinecittà and Italian cinema of those years, when music intertwined with images and became a popular heritage. A meeting of art, culture, and shared memory, with the magic of cinema and the power of music, to collectively celebrate the beginning of 2026.
