After the success of the preview concert at the Mozart Festival in Verona, the OPV Foundation pays tribute to Mozart’s passage through Padua with the second edition of the series On the Way to Mozart, which aims to chart new listening paths based on the comparison between Mozart’s lesser-known repertoire and that of his contemporary musicians.
In this edition, the series will musically explore the relationships between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, his son Franz Xaver Mozart, his sister Nannerl, and his father Leopold.
The concert on Tuesday, January 27 will be introduced by Rita Charbonnier, speaker and author of the book The Sister of Mozart.
On Tuesday, February 10, there will be an unprecedented comparison between the music of Wolfgang Amadeus and that of his son Franz Xaver Mozart.
On Monday, March 9, the relationship between father Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be further explored musically, featuring the performance of the Serenade in D major No. 6 K 239, the five Contredanses K 609, and the Symphony No. 28 K 20.
All concerts will take place at 8:30 PM at the Sala dei Giganti (Palazzo Liviano) in Padua.
