The Padovanità Association presents:
An Afternoon at the Museum: Physics and the Automobile in Padua – Sunday, February 1, 2026
Not everyone knows that… among the many firsts of the city of Padua, two pioneers linked to astonishing inventions of the modern age deserve special mention. The University of Padua, in gratitude, has dedicated two museums just a few hundred meters from each other. You’ll discover Padua as a pioneer in the automotive sector and a major global center for physics studies. You’ll first visit the museum dedicated to Enrico Bernardi, a historic automotive pioneer, and his important inventions and research, which culminated in his joining the legendary FIAT company owned by the Agnelli family.
Next, we’ll visit the Physics Museum, dedicated to the life and work of Giovanni Poleni, another distinguished professor at the University of Padua, the father of physics at the national level and the creator of the first calculator.
There will be a single tour, starting at 3:00 PM, meeting at Via Venezia 1, in front of the Enrico Bernardi Museum. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
A contribution of €14 per participant is required (€12 for members), and €9 for children under 12.
Reservations are required via WhatsApp at 3716890812.
For those interested, there will be the option to purchase a 2026 Padovanità membership card, which offers discounts and special offers.
