Discovering Carrarese Padua: Casa della Rampa and the Ferry

FEB 21, 2026
Other

Padovanità, in collaboration with the Cultural Association Enetiké, offers a guided tour to relive the ancient splendors of the Carraresi, Lords of Padua in the late Middle Ages.
We will start from the Casa della Rampa, located at the intersection of Via Accademia and Via Arco Vallaresso, which preserves visible traces of the majestic residence of the Lords of Padua, built from 1343 by the will of Ubertino da Carrara.
We will visit the 14th-century courtyard and go up to the ferry, an artifact that is part of a long viaduct connecting the Palace of Ponente with the Carrarese Castle.
Subsequently, we will follow the path of the 14th-century walls, and their incorporation into the subsequent noble context of the area, among medieval palaces and Renaissance arcades.

Estimated duration of the visit is 2 hours.
There will be a single tour at 3:30 PM
Contribution of 14 euros for adults (12 euros for members)
