Tasting masterclass (blind tasting) with PIETRO PALMA
A fun blind tasting will teach us to recognize the different facets of Sangiovese, a chameleon grape variety, which can have various souls and expressions depending on the growing area: vibrant in Chianti Classico, deeper in Montalcino, and more austere in Maremma.
The speaker: Pietro Palma is a professional sommelier at Enoteca Pitti Gola e Cantina in Florence, an internationally renowned wine bar; a trainer and communicator for over 20 years; “Ambassadeur du Champagne” for Italy 2018 and, in the same year, recipient of the Prix Spécial at the “Concours Européen des Ambassadeurs Du Champagne” and the title of “Chevalier de l’Ordre des Coteaux du Champagne”.
In 2023, his first book The Sound of Champagne was published.
The tasting will be accompanied by a platter of cold cuts and cheeses selected by Claudia Fioraso, chef of Barco Teatro.
