Exciting appointment with the Friends of Music of Padua Wednesday, October 29, at 8:15 PM at the Pollini Auditorium in Padua, for the concert of the exceptional piano duo formed by Bruno Canino and Antonio Ballista, who, on this occasion, celebrate the achievement of an extraordinary milestone: seventy years of uninterrupted artistic activity. The program chosen for the concert is set to make this appointment memorable. The full works for piano four hands and for 2 pianos by Ravel will indeed be performed. For compositions such as Sites auriculaires, La Valse, and Rapsodie espagnole, we will see the two artists “face off” on two pianos, while they will share the same keyboard for Introduction et Allegro, Frontispice, and the famous collection Ma mère l’Oye. And it is no coincidence that Canino and Ballista play Ravel for this concert, as their first experience as a duo was indeed with the music of the French composer, which has remained a milestone for them. The concert is part of the cycle A Piano for Padua, reserved for piano excellence, and is supported by the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation. Open rehearsal at the Pollini Auditorium at 10:30 AM.
