On Thursday, May 21, the traditional summer review of the Friends of Music of Padua, “MUSIC AT THE MUSEUM“, will be inaugurated at the Albini Cloister at the Eremitani Museum in Padua. Five appointments between May, June, and September, on Thursday afternoons at 6 p.m., on the following dates: May 21, June 4 and 25, and after the summer break, September 3 and 10.
The program of the review features uncommon chamber ensembles and alternates between ancient music and music from the twentieth century and beyond. The first two concerts have been entrusted to young winners of the National Arts Award, the annual competition of the Ministry of Culture and Research that enhances young musical talents. The opening concert on Thursday, May 21, has been entrusted to the Neuma Sax Quartet. The second concert on Thursday, June 4, will feature the contralto Silvia Vavassori.
After the summer break, Music at the Museum will resume on Thursday, September 3, with the accordion of Luca Bello, who was a joint winner of the International Accordion Prize of Castelfidardo, and will conclude on September 10 with the concert of cellist Eleonora Testa, winner of the First Prize “Janigro Iunior Competition” in collaboration with CIDIM – National Italian Music Committee ETS.
All concerts will take place at the Albini Cloister, Eremitani Museum, Padua, starting at 6 p.m.
