Padua, May 2026 – On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, the Esapolis Museum in Padua will host the second edition of Artropocene Festival, two days dedicated to the world of arthropods, biodiversity, and the forms of life that inhabit alongside us, often without us noticing.
Organized by Kheprica APS, Butterfly Arc, and Museum Esapolis, the festival will kick off at 10:00 a.m. (both on 05/23 and 05/24) and will continue uninterrupted until the end of activities (approximately at 9:30 p.m.), enlivening the indoor spaces of the museum and the internal courtyard. In case of rain, the entire program will take place inside the museum.
The theme of this edition is “Hidden Between Dimensions”: an invitation to look more closely at those small, tiny lives, sometimes almost invisible, that traverse the soil, air, time, and matter. Ephemeral creatures seemingly only in appearance, capable of sustaining balances, transforming ecosystems, and challenging our idea of scale, center, and margin.
