The collaboration between Castello Festival and the Associazione Filosofia di Vita (Philosophy of Life Association) is renewed for the 2025 edition, offering two meetings to share an intense reflection on the political choices that the European Union must implement.
A look at Europe between earth and sky, with two distinguished men and three distinguished women who, in their professions, share the “philosophy” that is the mother of both intellectual and scientific reflection. The first eagerly awaited event will feature Massimo Cacciari and Umberto Curi, who will engage in dialogue starting from three words—prosperity, security, democracy—set as goals to be achieved. Their dialectical journey will have to traverse a great complexity of intentions, tensions, divergences of thought, and interests before becoming a “fulfilled desire”.
Philosophical reflection on the polycrises of Europe is necessary in order to gain an awareness of events. The analysis presented through the intellectual contribution of Cacciari and Curi helps us to find a viable way to make a qualitative leap from polemos to pax. The European Union must reharmonize its possibilities and verify its limits in order to be able to engage with both European citizens and the populations of other countries.
